Login to your eDirectory server using SSH and modify the following configuration file: syslog-ng.conf

## setup logging to logmanager
destination logmanager {
    tcp ("<LM_IP" port(514));
};

## send everything to logmanager
log {
    source(src);
    destination(logmanager);
};

For correct event formatting it’s necessary to run the following commands in eDirectory:

# Layout definition for appender Syslog S.
log4j.appender.S.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
log4j.appender.S.layout.ConversionPattern=%m%n
